Fundraising In 2007, WAO celebrates its 25th year of service to women and children. To commemorate this important milestone, WAO and Five Arts Centre are jointly organising an art fundraiser entitled Half of Malaysia, hosted by Rimbun Dahan, while Rhythm & Bronze will present a gamelan performance on the opening night.
For participants of the tour, a donation of RM20 per person (RM10 per child) will go to support the work of WAO. Refreshments will be provided at the end of the visit that should take about three hours. Please wear long sleeves and trousers, and bring along mosquito repellent. For further information call 03-60381417. Paintings preview and map to the gallery can be obtained from the rimbun dahan website. Half of Malaysia will feature works by, among others, Bayu Utomo Radjikin, Chin Kon Yit, Choh Kok Kheong, Farish Noor, Gan Siong King, Jacqueline Ann Surin, Jasmine Raj, Nirmala Dutt Shanmughalingam, Ong Seong Huah, Ramli Ibrahim, Ray Langenbach, Reena Clare, Sharaad Kuttan, Tara Sosrowardoyo, Siow Yin Yoong, Sivarajah Natarajan, Tan Kien Eng, Wong Hoy Cheong, Yati Kaprawi, Yee I-Lann and Zuriah Aljeffri.
