TINA, the first SMS helpline for domestic abuse survivors

Women’s Aid Organisation has introduced TINA, a new SMS helpline to reach out to survivors of domestic violence and women in crisis. TINA is available from 9.00 am – 5.30 pm on Monday to Friday. If you or someone you know is experiencing domestic abuse, SMS TINA at 018 988 8058.

Working Together: Case Studies in Domestic Violence Response, 2015 Report

WAO's latest report details the experiences of domestic abuse survivors that courageously reached out to us for help throughout 2014 and the challenges they faced in obtaining protection and justice. It also includes a comprehensive list of recommendations directed towards relevant government authorities. This report is now available on our website.

WAO opened Malaysia’s first refuge for abused women and their children in 1982.
